    Edit: Also, that article has taken the whole thing out of context, as have many boards posters in that thread. I'm no great lover of Robbie Keane and I have been critical of his efforts in the past, but he certainly didn't mean it like that. It was badly worded on his part, of course, but that doesn't mean everyone should jump on the hate brigade.

    he never said drop me and i quit. he said if any players were good enough to replace him(which they are not) he'd be happy to walk away..he's 100+ caps after all..i think his job has been done.

    I really doubt he meant it in an "I'm untouchable" kinda way. Wouldn't be too worried either way, he's a top player but can be far too greedy when he plays for Ireland.
