House needed to Rent - Dunmore Road area

Hi all,

We are looking to move house and I have seen a house in the Grantstown park area which we really liked but it it just had the one bathroom with no bath (I only discovered a bath is essential for a baby once we went househunting!)...

The area seemed nice quiet and good for walks with kids etc so am hoping for something out there...

Anyone know of anything going? 3 bedroom 2 bathroom would be preferable..
I must do a round of other estate agents too..

There is a good few houses to rent in Earlscourt and as far as I know all the houses have at least 2 bathrooms and they are all quite cheap too. Nice quite estate and only up the road from Grantstown Park.

The houses in the estate next to it - Collins Avenue - all tend to have a main bathroom (with a bath), a downstairs wc and an ensuite in the main bedroom, and are all 3/4 bedrooms. Well any of the ones I've been in /lived in did anyway!
There's a good few rental houses in Collins Avenue (I've lived in 3 different ones myself over the years ) just did a quick search on daft and there's 9 up for rent right now.

and you'd probably find even more going by ringing round a few estate agents as well, or keeping an eye on the classifieds in the papers.

Rent is much the same as for houses in Grantstown Park, and TBH even the ones that are looking for 850+, I'd only offer 700 pm on them, as that's what they tend to rent for IME.

There's always a few houses up for rent in that stretch of estates - grantstown park, collins avenue, earlscourt, powerscourt, viewmount (all quiet enough estates) and farmleigh (which is IMO a bit busier but still quiet).

The ones that seem to make to Daft, Property.ie or Rent.ie are the ones not snapped up by autioneers for waiting clients, just thought it was worth registering interest on here as well as with estate agents!

Thanks for that... had an appointment to look at one in Collins Ave but their idea of furnished and mine is v different!
The house itself was structurally v good but looked like the furniture came from a skip!
Will keep looking!
