I have a switch current account with permanent tsb and this months statements shows that i was charged 2.50 for 'ATM S. DUTY' for every month.

    What is this?

It's the government tax on your ATM/Debit card. €2.50 for each function.

Not quite sure for you mean by "every month", it only happens once a year.

Government stamp duty. Never heard of it being charged every month though
It's generally only debited annually. Mine is a fiver annually on my current account as far as I remember.
