    25/02/2011
    @The Grand Social

More InfoSpace54 is happy to celebrate a special night featuring two of the most well known electronic record labels in Dublin.
It’s going to be a stimulating

electronic night of scintillating sounds and visual sensations.

Featuring Electronic music form Front End Synthetics and Alphabet Set.
    ...
    Platinum Ray (DJ set)
    Cignol (live set)
    Educution (live)
    T-woc (live)
    Deasy (DJ set)
    Diamond dagger (live)
    Pixel Corps (visuals)

T-woc the music lad, currently running the physical releases at the Alphabet Set, with a real nice release schedule ahead, selecting & promoting reggae music in the monthly Roots Corner session,
playing some nights with the B-Music guys in Workmans club and recently started a new web radio show on Groovilizacion radio. Production wise got an EP on Belfast label Rudimentary forthcoming, working on a sequel to the delayed responses series, got a few remixes on the way and finally a new beat-tape, a follow up to the Takin With Out Consent mix.

Hailing from England, Cignol now lives in deepest Dublin and is a
purveyor of warm, melodic electronic music. Deeply influenced by the electronica explosion in the early 90's, Cignol is flying the flag for electronica heads everywhere. He creates an interesting and exciting mix of fluid, stimulating synths and trippy glitched out drums.

Hi latest EP 'Void' touches on a slightly more sinister take of the cignol
sound and is available to download for free from alphabetset.net.

Diamond Dagger AKA Sarsparilla has been producing electronic music since 1997 and has been part of the Alphabet Set since its conception with several release under the Sarsparilla moniker for the label. Influenced by TV and Film Soundtracks of the 1980s combined with 90s Electronica, he concentrates more on outboard gear and classic drum machines to give a more authentic and musical feel to his own brand of Disco/Electro.

Education: Otherwise known as Booger or Toirse, this stalwart of the bangin’ Dublin techno/electronica scene has rocked dance-floors from here to New York over the last decade and releases regularly on D1.
You can expect Educution to play his own brand of digital house music, extremely percussive, but with plenty of melodious movement. Along with this, Educution is well known for incorporating his own vocal performances into his live sets.

DEASY is a musician, and an exotic dance instructor. He has released two albums "MUSIC IS NOT HYGIENE" (2003) and "SHUT UP AND MAKE" (2004) on the record label THE FEAR, of which he is a founding member and Director of along with technoid duo DROID+SLUG. The Fear first showed its face in 1998, as part of an influx of underground clubs into Dublin’s newly opened docklands venue, The Funnel. Already notorious for their respective shows on Dublin’s premier underground station Power FM, founding members D.C., Droid + Slug took pirate radio to the dancefloor, working Electronica, Techno, House, Hip-Hop, Ragga and Jungle together in full-on four-deck sets. Deasy has been a prominent Dublin DJ for nearly 17 years, and has been behind such infamous clubs as THE GOOD DRUM and TOAST, Dublin's first after-hours weekend chill out club. Other nights Deasy has played at include EVOLVER, PLANET DUB, SOUND EFFECTS and RUMBLE. RUMBLE is Deasy's longest standing residency, now in its 9th year in the famous 'RI-RA' nightclub of central Dublin.

Pauly Martin aka Platinum Ray brings a playful party style of mixing to the decks. Mixing vinyl records with different flavours of dance and electronic sounds, he is never afraid to get abstract and wonky with his selections. As Platinum Ray says, “When I play records I try to find ways of putting together music which is at once spontaneous and unexpected but also rewarding. I don’t think of electronic music as being futuristic or elitist, I think of it as being celebratory.” Starting out on pirate radio, he has continued to perform for promoters such as U-Mack and Front. Pauly has also produced music with Dublin-based musicians such as Educution, Spectac and Sunken Foal as well as producing his own compositions.
