Hey Guys I am not sure if i am posting this in the right area but im sure a mod will put me straight. I am looking for some history on the old Pigeon House barracks and surrounding fort area. I recently visited the old Pigeon House Powerstation and the small army battery behind it and i want to know more about it. Any info…

Hi Tricky

How do i find out the date of these maps? i notice the land has changed alot so i am guessing early 1800's due to certain landmarks not being built etc..

Now I can't give you a guarantee on this but I think I read something about that in John McCormack's " A story of Dublin".
If I am correct there was only a very short bit in the book about the Piegon House. Don't shoot me if I am wrong tho.

I don't have the book anymore so I can't check and it might be out of print by now but the libraries in town still have it.
