Water leak at Kings meadow

Anyone know the reason the city council can’t or won’t fix the water leak near the traffic lights at Kings Meadow? Seems to be coming up through the road and path along by the wall of the old Glass factory for at least a year now though I’m guessing longer. On a frosty/icy morning it’s dangerous as the water lodges by the lights and when it freezes you can have serious difficulty taking off at those lights facing matty's hill. One of these days there’s going to be a serious accident there as the lights only come on for 5 seconds before turning orange and if you hit the breaks to stop you could find yourself skating across the road into traffic. On top of that it seems like a complete waste of water.

its not a water leak its a naturally occuring underground spring which also rises down outside the entrance to the rsc on the cork road although this one is caused by the tidal rise of johns river...

Thanks Karbonkonceps... That explains why it's not being dug up so..for safety they should Prioritize that area for gritting on frosty/icy mornings

Been like that for about 10 years id say.

With the works going on now with the earth being removed from the old glass car park mixing with this water is making some mess. They have to foothpath closed now on the opposite side forcing to walk on that side getting destoyed by muddy dirty water, something needs to be done.

I remember years ago a serious accident there due to it alright, a guy on a motorbike took an awful spill.
