42 GOAL - ADAM!!!!!! Adam scores with the corner on the right!! He takes it low and it curles in, with Green missing the ball, although the keeper may have been unsighted because Piquionne ran in front of him, trying to clear the ball.

Can't wait to see it!

Wayne rarely takes corners never mind scoring one. Apart from Adam, Gamst Pedersen is the only other player that I wouldn't be surprised to see score from a corner like that.

stan the gaffer did it twice, once against portugal in the US cup.
charlie has to get one more just to be on a par with the gaffer.:D

99% sure. I can't find a video of one except at one england training session where he nearly does it.

This is not a header from a corner we're on about here, it's taking the corner itself and putting it in the net.

Was a terrible corner, add this to the list of Green howlers. Normally goals from a corner loop into the top corner.

I don't think so sure Kirkland was pushed out of the first team by Holyoke third choice keeper and I don't know how green is considered a keeper to be honest he's horrendous.

Kirklands whole career has been held up by back injuries so he has never reached his potential. Green is not top class but there are probably dozens of worse keepers than him that have been through the league. OT anyway.

Was at the Game in which Staunton scored from corner in 1993 in 3-0 win against the North.

Can remember Macedonia player scoring against Seaman in England goal about 9 years ago too.

So not that rare

Obviously they are all flukes, but sometimes they come from a corner that was well hit and into a dangerous area. This was just a mis-hit and bad defending/goalkeeping.

Scored 1 myself in a under 9 or 10 match, on a pitch beside tolka park. That was a fluke.. all thanks to the wind and a 9 year old in a big goal.
Dont like the stick keepers get when they make a mistake but R Green, he sure does make quite a few
