Ardee Exit M1 Last Night

    M1 Closed last night approx 2.00am

    Had to come off the Ardee ramp and go through Castlebellingham to get to Dundalk

    Garda Helicopter was hovering about shining the light down on the motorway, anybody know what was going on?

    Someone texted the radio this morning to say that an artic truck was on its side across the motorway...
    little 40 tonne speed wobble in the slight frost me thinks!

    gardai where chasing driver he was making run for the border when they put stinger on road with the assistance of the eru driver and passenger still got away
