Walking Equipment.

I recently started to take up walking as a form of exercise and I wanted to know what shoes or boots would suit,and where to buy them as plain old trainers aren't doing me any favours, esp as the tracks i'm walking are fairly steep and rough terrain, one of them is the East Clare Walkway if anyone knows it. Any help or…
