Simple iMode question

Can someone help me? I'm still using a Sony k550 only because I get my emails on it for free with i-mail/i-mode. The problem is that I stopped getting them at the start of this week. I know that they were supposed to shut off iMode last year but it continued to work on my phone up till this week.

I've been onto customer care three times and they sent me data settings which didn't do anything. Does anybody else out there know for sure what's going on at all?

I realise I'm in the dark ages still using this phone and imode/imail but hey....

O2 wishes to notify that it is stopping the WAP1 & iMode services from January 25th

Thanks for that. I remember them saying something similar last August or October and my imail survived. Looks like they pulled the plug this time

Don't suppose there's an alternative? I want to get my emails for free on my phone....too much to ask?
