    recorded recently out at base recording studios, this is the first ep from MGB.

    heres a few words about it from "the elbow room" blog
    Machine Gun Baby (MGB) are a new up & coming unsigned rock & roll band from Portmarnock, in Dublin’s North side. Formed in 2007 by brothers Stewart & Mark Keegan, Shane Ryan & Tony King, their debut EP “For the one’s we knew” is released Fr...iday 04th Feb. They are being compared to the likes of U2 (for obvious reasons) Snow Patrol, The Frames, Springsteen & Kings of Leon. Caleb Followill comes to mind on the repeat of “it’s rock & roll” on the lazily titled “Track 8”

    “Judgment Day” & “Track 8” are quality tunes & certainly would not sound out of place on daytime radio. I like the inclusion of “On the fence” which is a live track with acoustic guitars drawing you into a heavy ending. Sign of a band comfortable with both their live sound & studio sound. The MGB sound is a lot more mature than you would expect for lads so young. Excellent stuff, looking forward to seeing what the future brings.

    EP launch is 8:30pm, tomorrow (friday 4th feb) @ the grand social, liffey st.
    entry is 7 euro and includes a free hard copy of the ep with artwork. support comes from Soundproof and theres an indie/rock tunes afterwards until late.
