You can get it in tescos or dunnes. Alternatively mix up some buttercream icing, or some melted nutella will even do in a pinch.

Those shower cake pops are so cute!

The Betty Crocker might work but if you are going for taste it might not be nice, at least the brown chocolate one is revolting.
You might get away with regular vanilla buttercream

I used choc spread on my 1st trial as i have no patience and wanted to try them out asap. For my baby pops, + 1 on the above BC Vanilla, they held really well.were v luscious but very tasty!! have some cake cuttings in the freezer waiting to be cake popped

i am a bit lost on what frosting is - is it butter cream?

have these in the fridge now

I think someone above said you can use Betty Crocker 'frosting' it comes in a tub, chocolate fudge or vanilla I think are the only flavours you can get easily here. It's like a nutella textured icing.

I think you can use buttercream or even nutella itself, or possibly you could melt some chocolate?

I just ate a gorgeous chocolate cake pop, chocolate crumbs with chocolate ganache, how can it taste so good, it's just cake scraps?! :)

@irishgirl I guess frosting is a thick icing, or sometimes made with cream cheese of whipped cream or italian meringue frosting etc. I guess it's a general term that's used now. Not sure what the exact definition of it is.

I've decided that I'm going to make cake balls this Christmas as gifts for people. Any ideas how long they'd last for without going stale?

I've eaten chocolate ones 10 days after they were made and they were fine.

I made 30 odd of these for halloween and I ended up having only 1 child come to my door  so my nieces and nephews were eating them for up to 2 weeks after and they were grand!
