Agreed, it looks better on the PC but I simply don't feel like spending 700-800 euro for a top end PC.

I'll stick to the console I think.

Agreed gameplay is what matters most but when i watch my son play bad company 2 on 360 compared to my pc its like an entirely different game, the difference has got to be seen to be believed.

Hmmm, I have BC2 on both 360 and PC. Thought it was pretty much the same really, seemed like a console game ported to PC.
I'll be gettin BF3 on PC of course though, as choppers, jets, tanks etc :D

Although I am more hyped for this game than any other in recent history...when I think of certain things I cringe...mainly "Jet/Chopper whoring" ...i know its gonna be so bad again....I just hope they come up with an effective way to stop it, and to stop baseraping too...which for BF2 was crazy...having the carriers consistently bombarded.

Oh, and have they evened out the jets ?
Last time around it was J10>Mig>F35 , the US always had the worst planes lol

Yeah wake was a joke, the only way the yanks stood a chance was if someone nipped in and stole 1 of the J10's. Defo getting this for the PC, mouse and kb, can't picture bf any other way.

I'm curious - do people who specialise in jets and choppers in BF/ BC use a joystick?

That can't be right... It's waaaaaay to low.... I was expecting that to be a minimum requarments.

Thought it is optimised for xobox and ps3 too so it might be not that bad...

I know it's not comirmed, but if it will stay like this, it will mean my old rig will be able to play it on decent settings...

DICE have openly said that if your PC can run Bad Company 2, it can run Battlefield 3 without issues.

I know of 2 people who do this, they are absolutely amazing players both in air combat and ground combat. Battlefield 3 is about the only game I'm looking forward to this year (along with rFactor 2)

i know a few people in clans that only fly Heli's and jets with joysticks. I mean their only task in a game is to be a good pilot

Back when i played nothing but BF2 i always whored it up in jets and choppers with a joystick, while the keyboard was ok i wasnt near as effective as with a joystick.

Joystick for jets, mouse and keyboard for choppers to allow seat switching and solo TV missles pacman.gif

I do this too but I'm am amazingly crap pilot :o

I'll use my 360 pad for jets / mouse & keyboard for everything else.

Mouse and keyboard for everything. I've used joystick in BF2 sometimes, but as i almost always stick to ground combat or a gunner position, it's not really worth it.

When the Battlefield 3 trailers were launched I had an idea to make my own fan made trailer based on 2 tracks, but never got around to doing it.
Fast forward 6 and a half years later, and after being motivated by a film writer, producer and director I decided to finally do it.

The idea was to sync the video as best I could with the music and lyrics to suit its mood.

Finally heres the result after a few hours of messing around today in Sony Vegas:

Its my first real attempt at video editing, let me know what you think if you're bothered!

    Very good. I like it.
Not my style of music at all, but I can see where the idea came from, it suits the different gun sounds really well.
Look forward to seeing your next project in 2024

good video would suggest using the highest possible in game settings next time, 6 year old game that runs fine in 4k.

ATI/Nvidia have an option for 4k down sampled to 1080.

was surprised when I tried to have a game of either 3 or 4 recently that there was no one playing
I know people move on and that they are most likely playing PUBG, Fortnite, Overwatch but I thought there might be a core group on there
