Maxi should have scored but the lad has played well in fairness to him. In fact there are no slackers on the pitch. Johnson got caught out by Bosingwa but the same happened with the roles reversed at the other end too. Great block by Carragher on Torres' shot. A real tough game with two excellent defensive performances so far.

I just get the feeling that if Liverpool can keep playing the way they are until the introduction of Suarez they might just win it.

My god that Maxi miss!
Happy to go in level but some sloppy play/touches at times which needs to be cut out in the second half.
I'd expect Chelski to be much improved in the second half.

What game have you been watching? Cross field ball into Torres (?) feet. And a handful of suicide balls and crosses not beating the first man.

He's rubbish. Take him off, Suarez on and keep the same formation for a while.

Really evenly poised game so far. Very tense. Some silly mistakes, can't help but feel they won't go unpunished in the second half.

Suarez could cause real problems if he came on.

Awful stuff for half and hour and after that it was only terrible.

Liverpool, although set up the more defensive, look the more threatening and have shaded the first half.

Chelsea look disjointed with the three up front.

Maxis and Kuyt are not playing well by any stretch, but apart from getting caught out in possession badly once, Lucas has had a very decent game, Anelkas been very quiet.
