(I couldn't figure out which forum this question should go into. Feel free to move to the correct one.)

I have no experience with web design (except for very basic HTML codes I was taught as part of my business degree.) I have registered a web address with Digiweb. I now need to get the website made. My question is, what are my options now? Where do I go from here? Thanks :)

If you're setting the site up as a business, decide on a budget. get the site made professionally.

If its just a play thing, just jump right in and start making it. Learn CSS and that should get you started.

W3schools is a great resource for learning the basics:

You've got 2 options: DIY or pay someone to do it. Depending on what the site needs to do ie professional or just for yourself will help decide. If it's professional you'll need more than a few HTML pages thrown together. You'll want it to look well.

If you're savvy with FTP and uploading files have a look at Content Management Systems eg. Joomla! or Wordpress. I got a very nice website made using Joomla! with no experience of CMS. There's plenty of free tutorials out there aswell

I really don't like w3schools, and neither do a lot of other people. See here: http://w3fools.com/

I find http://www.tizag.com/ a good site for a quick introduction to both HTML and CSS.

The w3fools site also has a good list of alternatives to w3schools including Google's vid tutorials and the Mozilla Developers Network.
