Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ring an indepentant installer, usually they are cheaper than sky on call out charges.

just out of curiousity i have an old freeview box that i connected up to present cables for sky + box and i can get channels on that, so does that mean its the box at fault?

It would seem so, wouldn't it? You haven't told us the make and model number from the label. If it's a Thomson that hasn't had its capacitors replaced then it's a cert.

BTW, I'm pretty certain that your "Freeview box" is actually a satellite TV receiver.

Sounds like a tuner fault. If the box was installed last September you are still in warranty to whoever installed it did you get it from Sky direct or a Independent installer or through some Sky sales crowd.

thankfully yes it was sky direct i dealt with but 10 days to wait on a tech guy to call is a bit much really so im trying all avenues at moment to see if i can sort it

This other satellite receiver is it a standard Sky box. If so connect that and phone sky to pair the card to it until they someone out to look at the Sky + box.

its not actually no its a digitaltech 6600. would dish have moved in storm and if it did would i see no channels if dish moved

If you can get a signal on the Free to air box and not on the sky + box then it's more likely its a tuner fault in the Sky box. The only way to Know for sure is to have a installer connect a meter to the cable feeds from the dish. If you can get your hands on a old spare sky box from Friends or neighbours and do as i said in the last post or if not just use the Free to Air box until sky send out someone.

Have you tried to swap the cable feeds LNB1 and LNB2 around on the back of the Sky+ box.
