Massive LOL at the arrogance of posters on here saying Arsenal should be resting their players with half an hour to go.

Doesn't really matter who's on the pitch if penalties are going to be given like that.

Which was set up by Barton. One decision went against Newcastle and either 3 or 4 against Arsenal depending on your own views.

..If Carroll was still there Newcastle would have double figures.;)

Phil Dowd should be demoted to officiating the pub leagues. Either he is inept or corrupt.

If it's that bad then i apologise, i don't have the pictures on front me.

But they do have a massive soft centre, no doubt.

Despite all the epicness and excitement of the whole thing, there's no getting away from the fact that Arsenal were blatantly robbed here by awful officiating.

Serves everyone of the Geordie ''fans'' who left the ground early. Delighted for those saps more than anyone else!

Wenger going to confront the ref.

Wasn't there some kind of controversy about that type of thing recently? ;)

2 massive points dropped by Arsenal here. If Utd win tonight they are 7 points ahead with the same number of games played.

Well done newcastle, great attitude towards the end!

Iv never seen a ref come out in the 2nd half and ref the game based on the score line and decided to give newcastle everything. Its simply mind boggling at how he give that 2nd penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Barton MOTM. The whole Diaby thing changed the game. I thought the tackle was fair, he got the ball. Ref was def poor as were the other officials. Offside goal for Arsenal. First peno was dodgy for newcastle. Linesman gave the second peno. Bad day for officials really. Diaby was right to go, Nolan should have been booked for trying to get the ball. All in all game of 2 halves and a fair result in the end.

Regardless of the refereeing. For Arsenal to come even close to throwing away a 4 goal lead is an absolute joke. No hope in them winning the league this year.
