Tbh 3,000 isn't that much for 5 bedrooms when you look at the 3 beds going for 2k. Get two more friends and you could have a proper whopper gaff :)

I really don't like that house. There's something a bit eerie about it.

Looks like you could film a few horror scenes in pic 27 & 28

I could imagine Miss Havisham sitting at the dining room table - pic 7 :pac:
I think its a fantastic house, but I can see what you mean.

I'm not sure on this but the owners probably want out while the roadworks are in progress. Pure speculation of course.

Oh the birdcage! The leopard print wallpaper clashing with the yellow tiles! The mirrored bed! Money really can't buy taste :D

It was the marble columns between the utility room and the "office" that sold it to me.

That, or the trophy-style wall-hangings in the sitting room

Or maybe the folly beside the stagnant pond :eek:

Every couch and chair in the place would have to go too. You're right about the office pic, I think I blocked that one out, my brain can only handle a certain amount of 'ick' :P

I'm not sure if I'd be all that keen on the wild west either :P

Although the croquet green and the fact that it says pets allowed goes partway toward making up for the frankly god-awful décor!

    BAM!!

(discretion guaranteed. I'm guessing this is the sort of place where if you murder a hooker, there's staff on hand to help you dissolve the body in an acid bath)

That's that Desmond, Earl of Guinness's place (or he's called something like that anyway)!

What's he doing renting out

I actually quite like the Clondalkin one :o
Well, apart from the fact that its in, well, Clondalkin :p

    But the Roundwood one?
I can picture the hoards of Americans landing at the door looking for hamburgers.

I couldn't live in a place with such a small backyard.

That's been on there for years.

It's well within earshot of the N4 and close to the M50 too so you'd want to not be minding traffic noise, plus of course they'll be building the Newlands Cross Flyover for the next year so it's far worse than usual along there at the moment.

Just a tad, although it's got 4 more bedrooms than my apartment so I'd give it a chance. I'd seriously love to book a viewing and rock up with my two year old and two insane dogs, just to watch the look on the letting agent's face. Start saying things like "ooh the dogs love swimming, so the pool would definitely get a lot of use" and "two sinks in the kitchen, that's dead handy. I can wash the child in one and leave the dirty dishes in the other one." and "how easy is it to clean dog shít off artificial grass?"

:D And 'the dogs love to have a choice of chairs'...
There are certainly plenty of them in that house.

Short-term lease. Probably rented by the week for visiting CEO's and celebrities and the like

Although it doesn't say rent allowance not accepted so......
Why do some people put some many pillows and cushions on the bed?

    They think it looks purty.

I like the look of the back of the house.

It's not just in expensive houses though. "Normal" people do it as well. I just can't fathom it. You'd have to throw them on the floor every night and making the bed in the morning would be a pain in the arse.

My sister does it with her bed. Personally I think it is stupid ....... like having bowls of potpourri sitting around the house (she does that too!).

At least bowls of potpourri stay in the same place, excess pillows require a lot of excess work!

Oh sweet Moses, did they never hear of tile paint?! Or, you know, new tiles? Crazy!

Kerry Katona has probably washed her bits in that shower.... *shudders* you're alright I'll pass.

And the 5 bed in clondalkin- you could get maybe two couples and 3 singles to move in €3000 divided by 7= €428 pm, not bad.

I'm more shocked at the price than anything - €265,000 for a pokey 2 bedroom shoebox in Ringsend, what year is this 2006?

It doesn't surprise me, depressingly. Dublin is bubbling up at the moment, and Ringsend is very well placed for the Grand Canal Dock multinationals as well as being walking distance to the IFSC and south Docklands where there are plenty more MNCs.
