That said.. i like the house. Order 4 of 5 skips to get rid of of all the religious crap and there is really something to make of it.

Looks like the house was used as some sort of religious retreat I'd guess.

It seems to have been a planning requirement under the Town and Country planning act 1973 (bathroom fittings miscellaneous provisions) that mandated avocado as a colour.

    Edit: a little bit nsfw

Is it legit to have this many beds in a room in private rented accommodation?

    https://www.daft.ie/dublin/house-share/north-strand/55-north-strand-north-strand-dublin-954406/

    9+ people in the house.

Is that a mirror trick shot or just the most symmetrical kitchen ever?

My sister is terrified of religious statues and stuff. I sent her the link to that house last night and she's just texted me to say she had a nightmare she was trapped in it :pac:

In it's defence, there is a fridge per person and good washing and drying facilities, desk space for each student.
    Like a dorm basically.
It's not ideal but better than some of the complete tat that has been posted here.

It reminds me of a place I lived in Australia. There were 2 to a room instead of 4 but it did work pretty well. All the fridges had locks so other people couldn't steal your food.

What would worry me about that set up is it says they accept couples.

It's actually very well set up for 10 people; provided as above they have more than one bathroom. Preferably three, though two could work.

Yes, it's a better set up than a lot of the slums on Daft, but is this what we are aiming for now? €350 to share a room with 3 others? €1400 for a room in Dublin? Around €4000 for a three bedroom house cause it's not rented as a whole.

From this to the new student accommodation announced last week at around a €1000 a month. It's seriously f**ked up.

Edit: HMO's (Houses with Multiple Occupancies) should have tighter regulations and also linked to market rent.

It's 10+ years since I was in college but even then the €92 a week it cost to live on campus was barely affordable. €1k per month is nuts.

    One from The Netherlands......

47 pics and the Tony Montana pics are clues for me what kind of person is selling it.

I am sure the neighbours hate to have seen the "For Sale" signs appearing....

Just click the big picture and start browsing the pics.

    WTF!!!

I wonder why they are selling... they were only half way though sticking the stone to the walls and ceelings in some rooms?

If you moved in you'd have to etiher keep going or strip it all down again.

I like it though in an 'earthy' kind of way

    Somewhere remote, detached.... could work
Easier to set fire to it as well.

That is one of the most bonkers homes, I think I have ever seen.

I kind of love it and despise it at the same time.

But why didnt they finish... bad form there.

and whats with the miserly few stones glued to the back of the front door, above the letterbox

Jesus, I have so many questions. :)
