Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

SkyHD with Omnilink.

Is the omnilink compatible with SkyHD box? I ask because I had an old sanyo tv connected up to a sky+ box which output to a tv in one of the bedrooms. I used an omnilink so i could also watch and control the DVD player in the living room when I'd be in the bedroom. All devices used SCART input and output, with an RF modulator so I could view the DVD OSD and menu.

All worked perfectly till recently I decided to put the SkyHD box in the living room with a 42" LG HDMI tv.

I set up the omnilink the same way, but now, going through the menus or changing channels on the HD box from the bedroom is a pain, ie- if i press the down nav button on the remote when Im in the bedroom, the highlight bar moves down two channels, like it thinks im pressing buttons twice.

the problem doesnt exist if i take out the omnilink from the back of the HD box, but then i have no DVD in the bedroom. I know I could buy a separate DVD player, but Im just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this problem or is it just one of them "things".

I really dont fancy hooking up the SkyHD box via scart in the living room, seems to be the only way to solve this problem, as it starts as soon as the HDMI connection on the TV kicks in.

I really cant understand how changing inputs on the TV from scart to HDMI could cause this double channel jumping issue! even trying to turn off the SkyHD box from the bedroom was a pain as when I'd press the power off button, the box would turn off and then come back on! I only copped after a couple of times trying to turn it off that it was the button pressing issue where the IR sensor thought I was pressing the power button twice- off, then on again!

I dont quite know how to explain this clearly, so just putting it out there, its a hard one to nail down the exact cause... :(
