Or maybe they could produce it to a really shoddy standard. And leave gross financial mismanagement in each department unpunished so that people who are fooled into buying it and come to liking the journalists can never be sure how long they're going to be around.

Woah..let's not get ahead of ourselves. It needs to be a success in Ireland first before moving to Manchester, London and the tapas bars of Madrid and Barcelona...oh, I see what you were doing there.

    OP...first reply gives the answer.

(Well done stovelid, keep the loitard flag flying high.)

@OP: ''The Goal Post'' ...like the Washington Post but... you know, more footbally. That's pretty weak, sorry.

Quite a homoerotic signature picture there. Do you have a United bed quilt set as well?

Yeah, I use it to soak up all the bitterness from you and your crowd.

The PL and Primera Liga are already massively popular and have the best players in the world. They don't need to do anything more to attract fans.

The LOI is not popular. The least the organisers could do is ensure that there is strict financial regulation. So that any prospective new fans aren't turned away by the endless stream of boom and bust clubs, ground seizures and league distortion from clubs bankrupting themselves for short term gain.

Started well and then seriously? Did you just use the PL and Primera Liga as names out of a hat?

We get punished for our financial issues, they get CL titles and league titles

It's still the case that LOI teams are getting away with gross financial mismanagement and going bust fairly regularly and distorting the league.

The bigger clubs and leagues can get away with all that nonsense because of the number of fans they've already got which prop them up. The smaller clubs and leagues need to be far fitter to stay in business and make moves on the fan bases.

This is not turning into a LOI debate.

OP: when is your mate thinking of putting the mag out? I liked the last one Gav mentioned from about 2-3 years back but it only lasted two issues IIRC. Maybe a site would be a better idea.

A stand alone mag is maybe not the best idea as they are all struggling.Maybe approach a newspaper and look to get in via a supplement.
