Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'll PM you in relation to the brand, and prices etc., but 30 tubes is a bit non-specific - the most common are 47mm X 1.5m long, and 30 of them would be a well shy of the mark for a 300L cylinder.

Even with the largest tubes on the market, 30 tubes may not give you the solar fraction you would like. It is popular with some installers to under-size the panel to save the trouble of putting in a heat dump, but if you are building a well insulated house, and have the heating off for a considerable percentage of the year, you would be better served to slightly over-size the panel and use a heat dump to save on calling in the heating system when it is not otherwise needed.

On the other hand, if you are retrofitting on an old house which has the heating on from Sept to April, then maybe there is less benefit to sizing up.

However, with most tubes, you still should have a heat dump to ensure system longevity, especially if you go on holidays etc. in the summertime.

Can you advise if this is vented or unvented system?

    Hi Fiestaman
How many people are living in the house, in order to size the system properly we would need to know what your hot water usage is?
You would be better to fit the 58x1800 tubes and make sure you have a heat dump fitted to help prevent the system overheating.
I see you are looking for the treble coil tank and assum you are going for solid fuel, make sure the coil is 1" for the solid fuel.

    PM sent
