Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's plenty of good sportives out there, maybe start with a 100km one and work your way up from there. My favourites are The Tour de Burren, The Ring of Kerry, the Seán Kelly and of course the bestest event of them all: The Tour de Kilkenny (not biased, honest :p). If you keep in touch here, you'll know exactly what's going on.

In my opinion the most sociable of the sportives is the Ring of Kerry, (3rd July) there is a good, holiday atmosphere all the way round.

The Sean Kelly Tour is also good fun but a lot tougher (the 160K version). (28th August)

The Wicklow 200 is reasonably social but is so tough and long that people tend to get the head down and get on with it. (June 12th)

I havent done the Tour de Cure but I've heard good reports about it. (May 7th)

All of these events ecept the Ring of Kerry have shorter versions if you'd like to work up to the longer ones.

I think they need to do something with the price though, €35 is still a bit steep and isn't it named after Martin Earley?

Tour de Burren has been brilliant for the past two years anyway, any of the An Post series are good.
