Very specific : trip to France, anyone experience of the Vosges ?

This is very specific but here goes : I'm planning our month long trip to France this summer, and coming to our stretch in Alsace.

Any of yous have experience of driving through the Vosges mountains in a camper ?

I'm looking at crossing from Epinal to Colmar, and google maps is showing me this windy road going through Munster... now, hubby is the driver and would drive anywhere, but I tend to have multiple little heart attacks when we're faced with a steeper hill or narrower road, and we've kiddies who might not enjoy bends too much.
Thing is though, I'm French, and to my knowledge, the Vosges aren't really that high a chain of mountains.

So if you've experience of that area I'd appreciate suggestions. I'm looking at driving around by Mulhouse otherwise, but that little mountain road if allright would probably be gorgeous.

My family went in a 307d about 20 years ago but we went further north by sainte marie aux mines I think there is a lower road you can take that way.

paddyp thanks a lot ! I do the street view a lot to pick places to go, but had never thought to try it there, super !

Ok, I think I might indeed have little heart attacks as we approach every rocky tunnel, but I'll just have to have a "relaxant" before we head off, that can be done .

I've been to Alsace and found it gorgeous, but was never actually on/in the Vosges. So far I have mapped us to drive through Picardie and the inland Somme area, then Southern Champagne, and on to Epinal, which is beautiful if I remember well from my childhood.
I map a lot in the grim winter months, love doing it, we might change bits when we get there, but usually if every thing turns out to be great, we pretty much stick to the plan.

We did this trip last 2 years ago on route from Reims to Badenweiler in germany. however i seem to remember a tunnel through the mountains which cost about €16 in toll..
