Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know HDR isn't to everyone's taste, but I think everyone can appreciate the effort put into this time lapse video.

lovely camera moves - pictures look like they're 3D rendered with the gamma cranked up too high :)

Too much of the exact same shot going on - the camera going forward and tilting upwards, it's in there atleast 6-7 times and for a short video, that's a lot....

There's some pretty good camera work in the whole thing though, I'm not 100% sure on the HDR, it's a little overcooked tbh

It is very over cooked, looks like CGI in a game like Oblivion or something. As one commenter suggested, some non HDR clips would have been nice.

Lovely piece, but not my cuppa.

the choice of shots isn't the problem imo - the hdr is. the first minute or so really sets it up - hang on to yer seats kids - it's going to be an amazing building - we get it. but then he has a brain fart and the hdr thing kicks in and MY GOD WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN  it's a jaw-droppingly beautiful piece of architecture and the shafts of light and the details in the colums and ok we get it - we didn't need him to make our eyes bleed to hammer the point home... hdr done for no ther reason than to say he's done it i reckon.

I believe it's partly promotional for a brand of timelapse rig.

So the HDR and pan/tilt shots probably served their purpose.

I expected Lara Croft to come swinging in from the roof. The HDR images are totally overcooked. Subtle tone-mapping would have worked so much better and looked a lot less like it belongs on a playstation.

Very impressive from a technical point of view, but like others have said, not visually all that appealling. I was bored half way through.

Also some of the editing was really dodgy. Thirty seconds of dramatic HDR, cut to random and pointless focus pull on an ugly wall, cut back to dramatic HDR.

Same as a lot of people here, got bored but appreciated the technical aspect of it. Not so much the HDR, looked like a computer game.

Still... it makes me want to get off my ass and make another time lapse video. Just need something to focus on.
