Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Random Photos XXVII- DO NOT QUOTE PHOTOS - 800PIX LONGEST SIDE

This thread is for random pictures of random things in random places by random people - so basically this is the place for random photographs. The photographs should be your own work; when we say random, we mean that there's no set theme, and no provision for C&C, for example.

Welcome newbies... Always great to see you moving away from lurking to taking part - we won't bite (eh... too often).

No expectation of quality or content. It's for everyone. This thread exists because it is good to share Please familiarise yourself with the rules before posting.

A little discussion is allowed but don't enter into debate as the thread is intended mainly to show photographs.

Thread rules [Please Read] NB - IMPORTANT STUFF NEXT

    * General Charter Rules Apply

    * All images must be 800 pixels or less on the longest side. Any posts with images which break this rule will be deleted.

    * No Quoting Images - Please don't include the original picture in your reply to a post.

    * Making your picture a link to the page it's hosted on flickr or pix.ie or elsewhere is both handy for us nosy lot to find the rest of your stuff, and also generally considered the polite thing to do by the image host. Indeed for some including pix.ie and flickr, it is a condition of using their service.

    * No arguments. Self explanatory really.

    * If you have a disagreement with a photo, use the report post feature - don't go abusing the poster.

    * Try keep to one or two images per post. Then allow some more people to post, then feel free to post again. Do this as often as you like!

The most important rule: Enjoy and have fun.

If you find yourself on the wrong side of these rules, prepare yourself for your post to be deleted, or if you've been feicing around repeatedly, prepare yourself for break from the forum.

If you do actually read this then please hit the thanks button - not that I'm so vain as to want a post of mine thanked - but as a little social experiment as to who actually reads the opening post on the thread, heheheh....

The last thread is here and will be Stickied for a short while

    Thank you.

    Now off with ya!

Lovely colours kelly, think you've got some dust specs though, unless it's stray birds?

Whilst this is actually a terribly taken photograph from a phone, I couldn't help but think what you experienced folks of boards photography forum would have come up with had you seen the same thing.

This is what looks like a rocket coming up over the horizon, it is in fact a plane heading straight towards me. The sunlight lighting up the contrails.

Really makes me wish I had a decent camera and a bit of knowledge. It really did look fairly odd and spectacular. So if you do happen to see something like this again, take a picture and send it to me :)

I had a similar thought when I was visiting Waterford last year. Glad to see someone else had the thought and did something about it.

There seems to be something wrong with that video on vimeo (as in, file error type thing). Unless it's just me??

Im proud of this, hand held, poor light, and held my breath.
Got funny looks from passers by too, probably because i was turning a pale blue.

Nothing special, and it is clichéd, but i like it and i have to post more.
