Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hom has some great technical strikes, I think he will have to sprawl a couple of times in this one.

This is the best UFC in a long time.

    Ever?

This is the best UFC in a long time.

    Ever?

It's really one of the best in recent memory for me. Overall a fantastic day of MMA.

    2nd last bout?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

    Yep.

    Aldo is shaking, it's amazing.

Goosebumps here in the room, I'm well wrapped up too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

Yep, Gsp up next unleas there is a replay if this is short.

Hominick's leg is not going to last long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

Was hoping Hom takedown defense might stop Aldo. Great first round too though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

Hominick fairly lucky there to get away with all that fence grabbing.

Aldo is really looking like serious business, I doubt this is going to go the five rounds.

Aldo is hoping the judges keep scoring these takedowns as heavily as the have been, he is certainly tired, might be 2 rounds up though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

    His head

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

Hominick must be made out of granite :O He can fairly take a shot.

    Really great championship fight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

Does anyone have a decent link to the stream?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

50-43 are there free drugs for the judges at cageside. Surely 49-46 or 45 if you give a 10-8.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

    50-43.

    Get out, now.

So Hommick's head is made of granite and filled with sand....?

That was an incredible fight. This card just keeps getting better.

Show's practically over now, that featherweight title fight should have been the main event.

GSP/Shields has snoozefest written all over it but I hope they prove me wrong.

Both of them lads are going to feel that in the morning. Holy ****.

Don't worry Mark, by the look of your face you'll probably meet her in the hospital anyway if she has just gone into labor....

Im using ones that have been linked in the past page or two (thanks). Have had to switch a few times but have it going decently enough. Try them again if you're not having any luck.

I'd say that thing on Hominick's head will be bigger then his newborns head.

Ah yeah but our streams just keep slowing down.
Found an ok one for now:

turns out the 50-43 was read wrong.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

This is great advice if you're having stream problems:
Sopcast channel 24267 is perfect and always is perfect. :) You can use it for every UFC show.

It's a tiny application and never fails.

I have a feeling this is going to be boring compared to Hominick v Aldo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

This might not be to everyones taste but i reckon its going to be a good fight, cagey.

19mins left in ppv slot, in the past if it went over time then all revenue was refunded - not sure if still the case?

Not anymore since started hour earlier.

Dana should have offered them an extra 100k to finish fight before end of 3rd.

Was that no to do with time zones as opposed to a 4 hour show?? Anyways, not my concern, Zuffa can afford it ;)

Its a 3 hour televised show same as always, it started at 2am our time, prelims were on before that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

    GSP is pretty busted up.
    Compared to usual anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

If George said he can't see out his eye after the first or second round, should the doctor not have examined it after that ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

    Pure sh1te.

At least we won't have to look at another welterweight title fight for about three months.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭SDTimeout

    Crosby scored that 50-45.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

Jake Shields always looks terrible in his fights. Can't punch and is total one dimensional (lay and pray).

I don't understand why everyone rates him so high.

So what, he has 16 wins in a row. Many of them were against nobodies.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,720 ✭✭✭Sid_Justice

Were you not watching this fight? Jake Shields went toe to toe with the 'best lb4lb fighter' in mma history and lost 48-47. Does that not make him at least, the 2nd best ww in the world, no one has gone closer to beating gsp

He was totally ineffective. GSP only had one eye.

No, I've always thought Shields was crap. I'm sure I could find an old post of mine where I say that.

Have you ever seen his other fights? He just lies on top of people. I understand there is skill involved in that but it is hardly world class fighting.
