Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

kies update on samsung galaxy 5

    Hi guys,
    Having a bit of a problem with kies update on samsung galaxy 5, well i have the phone connected to the laptop which is fine, but it's still saying that it's still downloading it onto the phone. It says on website that it should only take up to half an hour, but it's been like this for the last 2hrs plus.

    Can anyone shed any light on this please?

    the original problem was that i have locked my phone due to not knowing the unlock pattern, and its not allowing access to my gmail account to access the new unlock pattern, i've been told to update the firmware with the Kies but i'm at a loss now as to whether it could work.

    Can't you access gmail on a pc?

    The strange this is i can access it online on a pc perfectly fine, but won't let me on my phone

    I don't understand - your phone is locked, and the unlock pattern is in your gmail inbox?

    it hasn't sent it to my gmail account.

    i was told that if i performed an update via kies my phone should be fine, but i'm unsure as to whether i should unplug my phone from the pc because the update is taking so long.

    Sounds like you might just need to do a hard reset. have a google around for the 3 button reset procedure. its quite simple. :)
