Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a piaggio x9. Its been sitting for ages. I just want to get the battery out to charge it. I have looked through the manual. I have looked online. I cannot find any help in how to get at the battery to take it out.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Cheers man but I have the owners manual. I even checked this online version a couple days ago to see if it had any different information.
    Zip.

At a bit of a loss now. I have pretty much removed every screw I can see from the outside on the fairing, under the seat etc.

    Still nothing.

Says here it's under a fuse/solenoid box behind the saddle. Or is it accessed from under the rear mud guard? Section 4 item 38

I havent tried to get at it from under the back mudguard. That might work, but they are not making it easy. There isnt much clearance there for working, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Cheers.

..sorry couldn't open that link. I have an Aprilia Atlantic 500, which is the same engine and basic layout.....

.........mine is under the seat, and, at the back of the 'luggage' space, there's a panel you remove to get at the battery.....it's unlikely to be fitted from underneath....ymmv and all that.

Where are you based and maybe I can drop in and show you if it's nearby, otherwise open up the seat and remove the screws from between the rear grab handles you should be then able to access and remove the rear panel and then can remove the battery. Two things to remember: the battery is accessed via under the seat compartment and the rear panel, which covers the battery, slides upwards on tabs for removal.
