Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No guesses as to what toy i intend to use :-) just curious as to how I might go about looking into any issues I might have using Danbo in a book? Anyone any suggestions?

What does Danbo think himself, did you consult with him ? :D:D:D

Make sure you get him to sign a model release. :D

Other than that, no harm dropping an email to the manufacturer and see what they think.

I've often wondered the same - even if you were making a book on Blurb and setting it to public so other people could buy it.

IANAL, and may be completely wrong, but if the book is art, then anything is fair game? Even if that art is sold for profit.

Ever since Barbie started that sorta stuff, i think Mattel have been trying to distance themselves, anyway. :p

Regards the question; I doubt anyone would ever care. Unless you are planning to go to a publisher and have your book on the shelves of Eason's and Waterstones, I really wouldn't worry about it.

There would be copyright on the design alright. You'd have to get permission from the IP holder AFAIK, to be on the safe side, but your own work would have its own copyright, being original work.

I know how careful colleges are with regards to IP law, even though in general you'd probably not have an issue. In this case though ican't see the owners having an issue as it's fine art, esp if you give credit? Have you approached them?

pop a weee email to the manufacturer, like paul said... :) or give them a wee call....

I did a book on glass, and copyright law is never black and white....
