    /Being serious for a moment...

Just did a post for this on my patch of teh web and it's always been something the Nocs have supported.

Get on Board for Youth Mental Health is happening NOW and they are on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
“We know that candidates are talking about how important it is that we invest in our young people, in the future of the country. However, fundamental issues that matter to young people, like their mental health, are rarely central to their policies, and don’t feature in debates.
We want to change this, starting today. We want to see what they’re prepared to do for young people, to make sure it really matters. We want all candidates to Get On Board, to take action and make a real difference to the lives of young people. We’re going to make it an issue in this election, and get youth mental health on the agenda.”
The campaign have already uploaded videos featuring Sen David Norris, Boards.ie’s Darragh Doyle and DJ Tom Dunne.
Yes, our very own lovely Darragh:

    • 1 in 5 are suffering mental health difficulties now.
    • 1 in 10 will self harm.
    • 1 in 2 of us will experience a mental health problem, usually before we are 24.
    • 60% of young people said they would not seek help from a mental health professional.

The campaign is headed by: Inspire Ireland Foundation, Foróige, BeLonG To and Headstrong.

Please visit the site, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter pages and support them, because it is a super important issue and it really does need more promotion and attention.

Also, feel free to discuss it here and remember if you do suffer from mental health issues, there are not only professional people and services you can contact, but places (like here on the forum,or pm) you can have a chat and unwind.
    Stay safe out there gang.

    Ok,

    /Resume being silly.
