I have applied for an eVisitor visa for my 3 week holiday on www.immi.gov.au.

Is this all i need visa wise for my trip?

I need an address where i will be for my stay also?

    Visa wise - yes

Place to stay - well that would help - you are asked for an address of where you are staying on the entry visa card. It doesn't have to be for 3 weeks, it would make sense to have a few nights accommodation booked either way.

he didn't get a 12 month tourist visa (I'm pretty sure)
You can get a 3 month visa valid for 12 months
    http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/976/#b

The long term tourist visa (link) and that will cost $255
