Thats what the Eurovision is about!!! It was the kiddy texters who decided it anyway.

I'm delighted that Jedward misery will be shared with Europe.

Are Jedward known in Europe at all I wonder?

At least they're known in Ireland, which is more than the others were <_<

Jedward have experience of dealing with big publicity. Even if they can't sing, they know how to play the game so to speak. And of the five, that's the most suitable for what Eurovision is nowadays.

We would have won with that Falling Song. Typical Irish insider wink and a nod stroke. Its no wonder we are where we are in this little **** hole of ours.

The Joe Line's phones are now ringing with irate callers from all over !

    This, lol.
    RTE FAIL.

    Well done Sligo imo.

    Lads.

Imagine what it will be like when the German presenters interview them :pac:

It'll be our revenge on Europe for their treatment of us! Is Trichet laughing now?

    They won fair and square.

It was clear it was going to be between Jedward and Nikki Kavanagh.

It is the most catchy song that won, I hope Nikki returns for next year. Liked both songs.

Europe are going to think we're bigger knobs than we are already. Why do we think anyone else will find this cute or funny?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,068 ✭✭✭Bodhisopha

    It's EUROVISION!!!

Dustin was two fingers up to the competition.

These two clowns are the most suited act we've had in years.

The young Kavanagh one was a beaut & really nice looking, sadly Europe is twisted and they like men with make up on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,601 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Also yeah Rte tried to fix it so they wouldn't win by voting them an insignificant second in the jury vote when just coming top of the phone votes would win it. They are about 10 times worse than Justin Bieber, at least he can sing.

    so bitter.

    So many bitter people.

Well done Jedward, keep on trucking.
I remember all the people who said we wouldn't hear from them after X-Factor, they'll be singing to a live audience of half a billion people in a few months.

Best thing about that was the backing singer's red mohican IMO :)
    song is proper shoiiite

Look, Falling was a Eurovision song-by-numbers, and sounded like songs produced from our Eastern neighbours a few years ago.

The only way we have a chance to win is to spread Jed-mania as soon as possible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,859 ✭✭✭Duckjob

Sending Jedward to Eurovision is clearly part of the 4 year plan.

lol, no it wasn't. It was middle aged people who thought sending a novelty act might do well because it had worked a few years beforehand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 195 ✭✭wordcount

rte got exactly the result they were looking for. PLease do you seriously think there was one thing spontanous or real about the whole voting process? Each of the two acts getting 8 and 12 once each. Its a fix. As it is every year.

Its a crap song. No actually its a good song sung by two talentless tuneless muppets. S

I wonder what do the american's think when they see it.

I've decided that I like the song. Feck it. We were never going to win it anyways, let's just go and piss off a load of people while we do it :pac:

Jedward won, fair play to them. The 'superior' singers are off home on the bitter bus :)

We could finally be in with a chance...

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 36,711 CMod ✭✭✭✭pixelburp

One does wonder if the other 4 acts feel a little resentful: while they muck and grind and slog their way through the music industry, and all with only their natural singing talent to get them by, they watch a pair of hyperactive, talentless media darlings effectively get a bye into the contest on the basis of the freakshow vote. I wouldn't blame them if they were a little po'ed about competing with Jedward.

I feel sorry for the other acts cos they've effectively been cheated out of a good chance at a decent career. Jedward are a car-crash act that the media keep shovelling out, and people out there somehow are fascinated with this pair of fools.

Oh shur aren't they so energetic and lovely. Give me a break.
