I found the liquid eyeliner crap, it was really dry!

Yeah I gave it another go and it was useless. It makes me appreciate the Catrice liquid liner that bit more though my application is woeful! :o

Just received this this morning and tested it once, I really like it so far but only time will tell, it was just over £3 on Amazon

I also got this coconut water hydration and shine weightless hair oil, the 100ml bottle was around £5.25 but unfortunately Amazon wouldn't post that size here so I had to get the 25ml for £3. I've just tried it on my dry ends so far and I like it.

I also got this once a day ultrasun face sunscreen which is a staple of mine. Also from Amazon and it was around £20

Picked up a good few bits lately. Might explain why I've over €30 in points on my Boots card. And I keep looking at the Boots website wondering what I could buy with those points, and then tell myself "don't buy any more, save up more points, and treat yourself to something luxurious". What a sucker I am.

I was also given this, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette, the person doing the clear out thought it was going off, so gave it to me. Smells perfect, doesn't seem to be gone off anyway. Happy Days.

Pantene Dry Shampoo Volume Booster - really don't like this at all. It leaves my hair feeling powdery. Anyone else think the same?

IsaDora lip liner in Plum. Expensive at €9.50 and useless too. No colour payoff at all, and it stinks of oil.

I think it is the actual lid that is magnetic and not the bottom, not entirely sure though as mine are old enough now! :)

You were right, they arrived the other day and are not magnetic at all. They still look really nice and sturdy, delighted with them. Now just to buy some MAC/UD shadows to put in them lol any excuse!

Shame they aren't magnetic they would be an absolute steal for the price. I have mine for a while now and it is extremely sturdy and keeps me happy! :)

I'd really like a nice mirror (with lights) for putting on my makeup with. Anyones I've seen so far are quite small. Not really interested in those small revlon round ones.

Anyone got one? Or suggest where I could get one.

I've seen the one in IKEA and although it's lovely the effort of getting someone to wire it for me is putting me off.

I have the ikea one, that I love, so I can't recommend anything different. It would be worth the effort of getting it connected if you can't find anything handier

I've got the No7 one and it's really good, no idea how much it is as it was a gift x

After reading about Rimmel Provocolips on here, I bought one last night:

    https://m.boots.ie/h5/cat_hub?path=%2Fen%2FRimmel-Provocalips-Lip-Colour_1526327%2F&colId=kiss_me_you_fool&unCountry=roi

Bright red. I LOVE it!!! Looks gorgeous on and it STAYS on. Didn't even rub off on my boyfriend :) Deffo gonna get some more shades, there were about e7.50 in boots. Also didn't feel goopy, like a lot of liquid lip colours do.

Got my makeup done at Charlotte Tilbury a while back. The shade they used and the effect was quite similar, but it was 3 different, v expensive products (lipliner, lipstick, lip laquer), and it rubbed off on everything, I had to be so careful. But this one is absolutely brilliant for the money!!!!

I find the provolips very drying.

I need to moisturise my lips a lot before and after I use it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,508 ✭✭✭ShazGV

I agree that they can be quite drying, but I love the fact that they don't come off unless I really want them to come off! I'd love a wider shade range too, I'd buy them all. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 830 ✭✭✭cactusgal

I must admit, I went out and bought another one just now! Someone stop me! I got Playing with Fire, which is a darker red.

They stopped making my favourite perfume - Harajuku Lovers G, a few years ago but I was delighted to see that it has been relaunched. The perfume shop had some limited edition "pop electric" versions so I got 3 sets (50ml perfume, 100ml body lotion and keyring for £19.99 each)

Amazon US- guaranteed legit and customs factored in to price you pay so no bad surprises!

  • Registered Users Posts: 399 ✭✭Donald73

I'm very naughty this week for spending. So far I've had an ELF make up delivery, then a nail polish delivery from the US and today I filled my first ELF custom palette with 4 very lovely MAC shadows. Somebody stop me please...I already have a mighty wishlist on ebay including the OPI Fifty Shades polish set and the Ovanni brush set.

I just bought the Lorac pro pallet from Amazon and from space nk online I purchase the hourglass ambient lighting blush pallet and the powder pallet. They are so gorgeous! Expensive though I need a lie down now

I got the hourglass blush palette for christmas and I adore it..The colours are quite natural looking and they just light up my face in a really lovely way! It's my birthday next week and I've already dropped major hints that I'd like the powder palette too!! The blush is expensive alright but it's well worth it..I'll definitely repurchase when mine finishes!

How much is the Ambient Lighting Palette in Space NK does anyone know? Not that I can justify it anyway but it'd be nice to put a price next to it on the wishlist ;)

About the €60 mark for the pallet.
You can buy the blushes individually too! About €30 each I think

    Duly noted ;)

I got a sample of the Dior Diorskin Star Foundation and it's really, really nice. It's longlasting with medium coverage, with a couple of pale shades in the range. It's not brilliant if you need full coverage but the finish is really nice and natural on the skin.

Got the Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch foundation and the Maybelline colossal mascara, had enough in points so said I'd get them and see.

Going to try them out tomorrow, hope they are nice.

Got the L'Oreal Paris Million Lashes So Couture mascara before Xmas and really don't like it. It's very wet, my lashes are always soft when it's on (so it leaves smudges on my glasses), its not a great mascara at all, and I'm not particularly fond of the wand either.

Got the benefit roller mascara sample in elle magazine. Lovely mascara when you apply it but I find it leaves eyelash marks on my eyelids plus it smudges a but after a few hours wear. wouldnt buy the full version.

Loving the dior overcurl mascara I bought though its fabulous it makes my lashes so black and thick and curls them up.

CherrySue Doin the Do had a post on facebook today saying the new Maybelline Sensational is better than that new Benefit one - definitely worth a try!

The new Max Factor blushers are being bandied around as dupes for the Hourglass. I haven't used the Hourglass, but the two MF ones I have are lovely products. Great colour payoff and texture.

My Cult Beauty order arrived today. Another bottle of Oskia Renaissance cleansing gel for when I run out. I love it, especially as a morning cleanser.
Also going to try out a new moisturiser as I'm almost out of my Clarins Hydraquench, which I'm a big fan of. I got the Eve Lom AM/PM moisturiser so I'll be interested to see what it's like.
Also bought an Anastasia Brow Wiz in the shade Medium Brown. I got it at a total guess after googling swatches of it but it looks quite close to my own colour so i'm looking forward to playing with it.

Unfortunately I have never tried a Maybelline mascara I didnt hate :( I think mascaras are a personal thing though as what suits me might not suit anyone else!

The three best ones i've used were Givenchy phenomeneyes (the one with little spiky brush not the one with bigger brush), Dior overcurl, Borjois Push Up Glamour and Kiko Unforgettable. Essence princess lash not bad given its dirt cheap.

tried and hated many others including borjois glamour ultra black, loreal telesscopic and max factor - they are ones my friend swears by but didn;t suit me
