Thanks guys for the recommendations :) Preferably looking for something to smooth out my skin.

I usually use the MakeUpForever one but have run out. Going to the states in a few weeks and will pick it up there so just looking for one to use until then.

I didn't know Soap & Glory did one. Does it smell like other soap and glory products? I love their body stuff but don't like the smell of them near my face. Yeh I'm a weirdo. Will pick that up if it's not smelly and the Catrice one if it is.

    Thanks all

No, it doesn't smell at all!

I also have the Catrice primer mentioned but haven't tried it out yet.

Reviews suggest it may break you out if you have sensitive skin, so maybe have a Google first if that could be an issue?

I also use the Body Shop vitamin E serum.

It's good if you have oily skin.

Picked this up in TK Maxx for €3.99. Am all out of micellar water so decided on this for a change.

    Liérac Démaquillant Confort Cleanser.

Used the cleanser tonight for the first and I'm impressed. It's quite gentle, and a little goes a long way. I pumped two pumps (one is enough) onto my finger tips and massaged it onto my skin and it removed every scrap of make up, including waterproof mascara.

Picked up the Liérac Masque Confort a few weeks ago for about €5.

Used the mask twice since I got it, its nice, doesn't do anything noticeable, not sure if I'd repurchase, I mean it feels nice, smells nice, but doesn't really make a difference so although its cheap, I dunno if I'd bother with it again.

Some new products. I am a Mac junkie but the past while, I've strayed away from them a little bit. I've little pics of new products I used while doing my face today.
Ignore my very tiny top lip, as always, I'm sure the colour would look even better on a fuller lip.

    To start.
This matt lipstick colour is amazzzzzzzzing. I love it. I have searched high and low for it since seeing reviews on it and eventually picked one up. It's called Copenhagen by NYX. Here i have used a prune lipliner also NYX. I love the lipliner.
It goes on quite easy, like a lipgloss really but it sets as a Matt. It's a little on the irritating side but nothing too bad. For the price (7 odd euro) the staying power is decent enough.

    Eyes.
    Tear ducts: Mac Nylon
On the eyelid: Mac painterly and mac pigment naked over a beige inglot shadow.
Just random inglot brown and greys on the outer corners/crease and underneath.

I like nylon but pigment is only alright.
I LOVE inglot for eyeshadows. So easy to blend and they really last.
Spider lashes: they're real by benefit. Worst mascara ever buts that for another day.
Do you put liner on your top waterline?

I love the superfacialist by una brennan vitamin C oil. It's about £10 in boots so maybe €14-ish? It's a good sized bottle, lasts me about 2 months with daily use and it gets rid of everything.

Hi keredern, I'm looking for a new primer too. I love soap and glory stuff and didn't realise they did a primer. When you said it may break you out if you have sensitive skin were you referring to the s&g or the catrice?
    Thanks!

I'll second this. It gets everything off and a bottle seems to last me ages.

Hi BuilBeag, I meant the Catrice primer, according to some reviewers.

However, since being reminded two days ago that I have the Catrice one, I decided to crack it open & give it a go.

It's a lovely consistency, with a baby pink colour.

Goes on really well & gives a loving base for my foundation.

I have combination to oily skin & have had no issues at all.

In fact, my skin has been very good at the moment!

But I also love the S&G one! :o

Ladies (& gents), I went into Penneys today to purchase the Vintage eyeshadow palette from the same range as the Bronze, & the Nudes palettes by Essence, but changed my mind when I saw it in the 'flesh'.

Instead, the tester for the Roses palette sucked me in!!!

Unfortunately, the palette is out of stock so I will have to wait! :(

Of course, I couldn't leave with nothing and just had to have the Catrice contouring palette. :o

Well, it is just gorgeous & the contour shade is perfect for pale skins.

It's an ashy shade as the name suggests (Ashy Radiance).

I struggle with contouring due to the shape of my face, but this is the first (of many) products tried that I actually look kind of 'chiselled'!!! :)

The highlighter isn't the best one, but definitely very useable.

Would recommend to any pale skinned lovelies to try out, & at only €4.99 it's a steal.

I'll definitely try the s&g then. As it happens I'm very pale skinned and was also wondering about contouring so thanks for your other post as well! :)

I got my makeup revolution order this morning, there was two extra free products in it! A pretty decent size blusher & a bronzer.

Same. Delighted with them, I've been wanting to try their baked blushers.

Liking the Garnier Sleep cream. Lovely gel-like texture that soaks in really well. Makes my skin nice and soft.

Quick question for the skincare buffs, what order should I slap on serum, moisturiser and facial oil?

I usually mix my oil and moisturiser together(I have very dehydrated skin so it helps). So my application usually goes serum then moisturiser/oil mix.

Thank you!! I went serum-moisturiser-oil the past 2 nights. Moisturised skin doesn't seem to like the oil. Felt like there was bits of skin flaking off. Maybe it's whatever is in the moisturiser.

Like pilling? Were there little bits on your fingers?

What does it mean when the moisturiser starts to pill? I've experienced it before and never know why. Does it mean too much has been applied?

Yeah it means there's too much applied.

It can mean a few things:
    • too much applied
    • Layering incompatibility
    • Not waiting long enough for product to be absorbed fully
Layering incompatibility comes from layering products in the "wrong" order, some products just won't work together at all(Usually down to some incompatibility in the ingredients), other's will work in a specific order e.g: Imagine you use 2 moisturisers, a light one(X) and a heavy one(Y). Layering Y over X causes pilling, but X over Y does not. So you use X over Y.

Going away soon and wondering what do people pack makeup wise when they travel? I find I pack too much or not enough.

Does anyone have essentials that they think are perfect for travelling or tips on what to bring?

Am getting so annoyed with the empty NYX stands about the place. For the last two months the few that are around where I live have not been restocked and nobody seems to know when they will be again. Trying to get my hands on the eye pencil in milk but can't for the life of me find it in stock. Is it just Galway that their stands are so sparse or is it a problem elsewhere too?

Nyx was distributed by eurosales but when loreal took them over, they wouldn't deal with eurosales. So all the chemists that had accounts for nyx with eurosales weren't passed onto nyx.
Eurosales had a bit of of stock left over and distributed this to the chemists that wanted it, but it was mainly the stuff that was slow moving on the stands was all they had left.

With loreal now in charge, most of the chemists that had nyx originally, won't have it anymore because there's a rubbish mark up on loreal products. They also increased the price by 20% or so, but they do have newer products.
Mc cabes stock them now, most of the allcare pharmacies, hickeys and I think Sam MacCauleys.

As for the pharmacies that Had nyx, most are replacing with sleek.

Christ I never thought I'd post in this forum, but I hope that clears up some queries regarding nyx
