Is this worth the hype? I need something to sort out my blocked pores but I'm on a budget!

I don't know how well it works for blocked pores but I find it brilliant for making those fine lines that are beginning to appear on my forehead disappear! Love the stuff!

I bought this recently and to be honest I don't find it any good for mattifying, is there a particular way to use it apart from just dusting it on? My skin is super oily, like you could fry chips on my face some days.
For a really matte finish I use the puff that comes with it for putting it on, for a light matte finish I use a duo fiber brush.

I've also used a foundation kabuki brush (one from this set http://www.ebay.ie/itm/10pcs-Kabuki-Style-Professional-Make-up-Brush-Set-Foundation-Blusher-Face-Wl-/331793778455?hash=item4d40734717:g:2YgAAOSw8-tWW1I0 ) found that amazing for it but it gives a "heavy" look to the foundation, but it worked.

Not mine anyway! I never leave it on for more than 3-4 minutes. No need to. It's great!

Oh I'm interested! Can't quite justify the price.
Picked up a Bourjois lip crayon yesterday on a whim and I love it. It's a pinker shade than I'd usually wear but fab for spring. Also a purple shampoo because I got balayage done this week and I figured it can't do any harm.

I got a sample of this face mask from Sephora with my package the other day and have used it every night since, and its worked wonders for the dry areas on my face.

    http://www.sephora.com/pure-deepsea-hydrating-mask-P391625

Its a gel mask, I put it on every night (weds, thurs, fri) and my skin is plump and much less dry since.

My skin is oily-combination but lately I've had dry areas, and this worked wonders on them. I'd say if you had dry skin this would be amazing.

It's much better than than the GlamGlow one in the blue tub I think, much much better.
Haven't been using this for a few days as I used up the sample and I can say I notice I difference in my skin. Its not as plump, hydrated or radiant looking as it was when I used this. I used it every night for four nights in a row and didn't realise how big a difference it actually made to my skin.

Going to save up and purchase the full size I think, it would be well worth it.
Picked up this Global Beauty Care Premium Facial Cleansing Power Brush (jaysis that's a long name) in TK Maxx. Been wanting a brush like this for ages but could never settle on one. This was €17. Hope its decent.

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81iIQiU-biL._SX522_.jpg
Have used this every night since I got it as my skin was clogged and the difference is incredible, my skin is much clearer, I don't have as much redness, only thing is I do have some spots from the reaction to the Clinique foundation which are almost gone, the brush doesn't irritate them in anyway thankfully.

    Well worth the the €17.

Just need a Euromillions win now so I can start ticking stuff off the wishlist :D

Emma Hardie are giving away a free 50ml moringa balm cleanser when you purchase a 100ml one and there's a 20% off code for Mother's Day on her Instagram! So of course I had to order...I love the stuff so super excited.

    You and me both. :(

I stick to just wearing the eyeshadows now because everything else breaks me out so badly.

No worries, they are fantastic brushes especially for the price.

I've had mine a while now and they haven't shed bristles, lost the shape, etc.

They are just as good as the day I got them. I'm seriously tempted to get more as a back up.

It's gorgeous! I really love it so was really pleased to see the offer. Have you tried any of her other stuff? I was tempted to try the oil she has (especially with 20% off!) but I don't know of anyone else that has used it...

Picked up the Max Factor X-pert eye liner in Metallic Anthracite, its a metallic black, doesn't really look metallic on the lids though, more of a glossy black finish I think http://i.imgur.com/vIV0IhP.jpg?1

Lierac hydra-chrono+ serum/moisturiser. €4 in TK Maxx. I'm all out of my Balance moisturiser and they had none in stock so picked this up instead. Hope its good.

This might have been posted already because I've only been reading this forum a short time, but has anyone tried the new(ish) MAC FluidLine pens? I really liked the FluidLine gel, so I thought this would be similar, but handier for using on the go and not needing a separate brush. I used it for the first time today and it was a disaster. It made my eyelid feel really dry and uncomfortable and even a bit itchy. I was conscious of it all day long. Not only that, but it rubbed off a bit and some ended up under my eye (even though I only put it on my top lid!) It wasn't cheap, so I'm really disappointed. :(

Oh noooo! I got one and I absolutely adored it! I wore it Friday, put it on going to work at 8am and I wasn't home till 3am (:o). I found it super easy to apply and it didn't budge all day. Although to be fair it's rare I get a reaction to anything and I never rub my eyes!

I also thought I'd let everyone know how I got on with the l'oreal infallible spray on Friday - 19 hours and I think it held up pretty well. My face wasn't wonderful when I got home (mind you who's would be after that) but it definitely helped. My eye makeup was pretty spot on, my nose was a bit red purely from rubbing it but overall I was really happy with it and have been wearing it everyday since. It's not *as* good as the UD one but for the fraction of the price I can cope - it means I have to touch up once or twice in the day and I'm okay with that. Only criticism is that's it's very wet when you put it on if that makes any sense - I feel like a powerhose goes off in my face when I spray it on.

In other news I picked up a Mac lipstick in syrup and a liner in plum today, I also wanted lustering which is a fab pink in the lustre finish but they were sold out. It's gone on my list though.

Also finallllllly got the nars orgasm blush and it's love.

I'm also due a small bonus from work at the end of the month so I think I'll get an hourglass ambient lighting powder since they're so pretty ðŸ˜

New to this forum , and have not read all posts so this also may have been reviewed already...
I got the bareMinerals 'get started complexion kit' in BT2 for 49.99
I usually have problems finding make up that is pale enough for me, but lately - seeing as I'm over 40 perhaps or a touch of goth is back in fashion , I'm finding quite a few are too pale and leave me with a 'dying of consumption c. 1890 look'
Anyways, I bought this set cos the powder alone would have been 30 quid, and in this you get a pretty nice set with 2 medium size powders, and 2 smaller size- a contour/ blush and a 'setting veil', a decent brush and a really good primer, and a mirror to boot.
There are 2 types of powder supplied- a matte and an illuminating one- I tried the latter on and I could see wrinkles I never knew I had!
The Matte is grand though, the only thing about the whole kit is how long it ads to my make - up routine. Loads of blending. And more blending.
Anyone else get this kit and what did you think of it?

.... In other news I picked up a Mac lipstick in syrup ...
I bought Syrup blind and on a whim at the end of last year. I wasn't impressed with it, it barely showed up on my lips and I was disappointed. Tried it a few times and then left it. However I picked it up again last month and have been wearing it as my go-to work lipstick almost everyday! I find it moisturising and I can apply it in a rush and not have to look in a the mirror!
Funny how your tastes and opinions can change....

I did Back 2 Mac recently and Syrup was one of the lipsticks I was stuck on choosing between. I went for Brick-o-la in the end, which I absolutely love. Been wearing it to work with Soar lip liner underneath and it's just perfect. A real kinda MLBB shade for me.

Be very interesting to know what sort of jobs you are in and whether that is the reason you wear more "fancy pants" make up?

I'll start. I work from home and spend my days in front of a computer screen mainly researching. Love my job and also love the fact that I don't have to wear makeup if I choose not to. Love the fact that I can just use my Monsia cleanser, & toner then apply the day moisturiser and leave it at that.

I used to work from home and was exactly the same - skincare but no makeup. I wear very little makeup on my current job but love putting it on 'properly' at the weekend or when I'm going out.

It's far from "fancy pants" make up I wear to work!! I do wear my Mac Syrup lipstick to work lately but that's to use it up, I don't want to waste the €20 I spent on it! Bar a few MAC lipsticks the rest of my make up collection is drug store.
For example today's face is Catrice foundation, concealer & eyeshadow, Benefit mascara, NYX matt lipcream and blusher. I work in an accountancy office, dress code isn't strict but I do like to look professional myself with my work clothes and my make up on. Somedays though the face is just thrown on and hair mightn't even get a brush!!

I manage a beauty salon, and am ridiculously addicted to buying makeup. Love applying it.

When I was working in an office I always wore make up, foundation, blush, bronzer, etc.

Dress code was fairly casual but I liked wearing make up as it made me look better and feel better about myself. I prefer looking polished and professional when in work rather than going in with little or no make up and not looking as polished, professional etc.

Personally, without make up, I look scruffy, I know not everyone does, but I do, so I like wearing make up to give me a more polished look. I certainly don't over do it, but I do like to wear enough that I feel I look good.

Each to their own though, what's for one person isn't for another etc.

I'm an assistant in a clothing and craft shop and a former teacher. I don't socialise a whole lot so I don't have a set of fancy make up for special occasions and cheaper make up for regular wear, I just have a selection of products I like and use most days, some high end and some drugstore/budget stuff. I wear make up because it makes me feel and look better and more pulled together! If I have only 5 minutes in the morning, I'd rather slap on a bit of foundation (Chanel), define my brows (Maybelline) and pop on some mascara (always cheap, Essence waterproof at the moment) and blusher (Benefit or Bobbi Brown) than do anything with my hair :D If I have time to do more, it'll be an attempt at a smoky eye with a NKD palette, Bobbi Brown eyeshadow, NYX eyeliner and Benefit eyeliner. I feel much more professional and attractive with 'my face' on!

I just feel better with make up on...more confident.
Most days it's a bb cream, a nude/taupe eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick.

Weekends I like a bit more and going out.
