Daniel Levy is going to be Spurs's downfall tbh.

He is the reason they are where they are, in the Champions League.

Not a hope. He's the reason they are top 4.

I don't disagree with that, but if he had his way, they would be taking that Olympic stadium.

using that same logic he was also the reason they sat bottom of the table few years back

2-0 United. There's more chance of Mubarak being re-elected to President in Egypt than City winning...

Not feeling to positive about this. Rio missing is a big blow plus I don't think City will be as cautious as they were at The Emirates because they probably know anything less than 3 points and they are probably out of the race so they will (or should, at least) go for it.
I just hope we can put last weeks loss behind us.
    Prediction: 1-1 :(.

I can see city going on the attack from the off tbh, it is what would be most surprising to the United players theoretically and with our defensive situation they could easily catch us on the hop and get an early goal

As always I will take a scrappy 1 nil courtesy of an own goal off Barrys ass or something

eh Wolves beat United only last week

0-0 borefest or 1-0 either way.

And? One result won't change the pattern. City will look comfortable against a 'misfiring' United, then the same thing will happen again as it has with everyone else...

I can see Mancini trying to keep it 0-0 for ~70 mins and then go for the win.

I definetely don't expect them to go hell for leather straight from the off.

It's a derby. A Manchester derby. Anything can happen.

Nothing more important than beating these ****ers in Old Trafford. Still ****ing pissed off about it three years ago, now let's put them back in their place.

Just been reported on sky news that there are ugly scenes ahead of the manchester derby this afternoon. Tevez, Lescott and Rooney have just arrived. :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 833 ✭✭✭barbarians

Just wondering lads will there be a minute silence to commemorate the anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster or was that done last week ?

As for the actual match I'd say 1-1, very tense but with United missing several chances to bury the game.

This is going to be game of the season! City cant play for the draw, they need to win this game if they are to challenge for the title! United cant afford to lose it either! and a draw is not much use with Arsenal hot on our heels! Expect both teams to play for the win! Im going for a very open game and a 4-2 win for Utd!!!! Lots of goals, lots of yellows, and maybe a couple of reds!!!! BRING....IT......ON!!!!!!!

As much as i would like 2 up top i think this is the right team. city are strong in the middle and we dont have a pairing that could take on city's 3, we defo need to match them up.

Dont know bud, just happened to catch that piece of news as it was handed to reporter on talksport.

Ballsy team. Big performances from Anderson and Nani needed, and most importantly Rooney. Vidic will have to put in a MOM performance too.

that's an attacking bench, although lacking width if Nani or giggs dont preform.

    City team

    Hart
    Bus Bus Bus Bus
    Bus Bus Bus Bus Bus
    Tevez

Wow, off the top of my head I can't remember the last time Scholes and Anderson started together in a 4-4-2? Interesting team to say the least.

Edit: Massive fail, missed Fletcher completely.

Is Berba injured or just dropped to the bench?

Ridiculous decision if it's the latter.

I think its more to do with not fancying 4 in midfield than not fancying Berba.

Fletch,Scholes,Anderson i like...should give the city 3 something to worry about.

Interesting leaving Rafa out, although he'd probably be one of the favourites to pick up a red card!

    Rooney HAS to perform today!!

Delighted Chico is on the bench, thought he would be regardless of his jet lag, he's a young lad so I'm sure he can manage 30 minutes or so! Hopefully he won't need to.

So not bad overall with Rafa, Chico and Berba to come on if needs be.

    Revised City team

Hart, Richards, Kolo, Kompany, Zab, Barry, Milner, Yaya, Kolarov, Silva, Tevez

    Revised City team

Hart, Richards, Kolo, Kompany, Zab, Barry, Milner, Yaya, Kolarov, Silva, Tevez

Think Kolorav is a big danger today, really rate him as an attacking wing back.
Ando will take care of Silky Silva hopefully

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,894 ✭✭✭Nunu

Not fair on Berbatov. if going one up top it should be him. I expect City to play same way as last game, whatever about needing a win to stay in race theyll just want to make surr they cement Champions League spot.

    I'll say 1 - 0, Berbatov from the bench.

Would have been happier if Dzeko started which would have pushed Tevez wide. He can do damage through the middle. City have a bit of width today with Kolarov pushing up wide left. I think they'll go for it, the mere fact De jong is o0ut gives the midfield a more offensive look.

    Berba and Rafael dropped :(

I absolutely hope beyond hope that this is what happens.

How Rooney is starting ahead of Berbatov is a bloody disgrace.

Wonder was O Shea put in cos Kolorav is such a danger?

I anticipated Berba being left on the bench, but O'Shea over Raf is a joke.

O Shea starting is a suprise,if city just go 1 up front then o shea or evra may spend time in the midfield.
rooney will have to keep the head today and not get side tracked and pick up a yellow or red card.
options on the bench if we need a goal with chico-berbs and owen.

going to be a tough game but once city dont get 3pts i will be happy.
njoy the game and see you all here about 3 o clock.

Wow, best Manchester XI of all time as voted for by over 100,000 people on the Sky website, and George Best isn't in the team.

You could give it to Giggs for longevity. How long did best play?

Also it's the internet = younger voters

Jamie Redknapps been at the barbers this morning. Triffic.

Huge chance to put some daylight between ourselves and City in the league, draw wouldnt be a disaster at all. However if we lose then the **** has hit the fan as regards the title race.

    CMON UNITED!!!
