Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi All

I'm planning a HEN party weekend in October time for 2 nights. I'm looking for information on the following:

1) Trendy & traditional Pubs
2) Restaurants (for a nice meal on the saturday)
3) Nightclubs
4) Activities (looking to plan activities on the saturday i.e. Zumba, belly dancing, something fun that does not include alcohol)
5) Also - best hotels to stay that facilitate Hen parties

Many Thanks
Joanne.

I think theres a Wedding Boutique Fair in Galway this weekend in the House hotel I think? There might be something good there for your Henparty!

the Kings head and The Living Room would be good places to go with a group of people. The the Greyhound track would also be a good start to a night out, its not far from the city center and there two bars and restaurants there. For live music or comedy you can't beat The Roisin Dubh.

The Living Room is gone, it changed hands and is now Kellys. I wouldnt recommend it for a hen as its not very lively. Loved The Living Room when it was open it was a great spot.
The Front Door http://www.frontdoorpub.com
or The Quays http://www.galwaycitypubguide.com/all-pubs/the-quays.html would be a good spot for pubbin! Halo would probably be your best bet for going to nightclub as a lot of other places have younger clientelle. http://www.halonightclub.com/

House hotel would be great for a Hen Party- its right in the centre of town & does cocktails.

Also recommend going to the G Hotel for cocktails & maybe dinner or you could do afternoon tea. It is expensive but nice & girly even just for one or two cocktails.
They also do a deal for dinner & cinema if you wanted one quieter night.

Hi we had a great hen activity recently in Galway with Boudoir Girls we had a makeover and dressed up before having our shots taken.I have to say it was hillarious. They came to our hotel. We stayed at the Carlton and it was a nice hotel very hen friendly.
Halo is a good nightclub for going out later.Milanos is always good for pizza and has a nice buzz. Hope this helps!

Hi Joanne,
for something different for your group you could try a specialised dance hen party. Costumes are provided for the entire group to dress up in and they learn a fun choreography of the dance style they have picked.
There is a photo session at the end so the group have fun memories.

You can find out more about Dance Divas Hen Parties on facebook: dancedivas or at www.galwaybellydance.com under the Hen Party section.
Whatever you do you'll enjoy your weekend in Galway! Lisa:)

for a nightclub it has to be halo http://www.halonightclub.com/halo.asp

Book a table so that ye'll have your own hostess with table service for the night.
