Hello , I know that three sells devices for a stronger signal but they did cost last year 300 Euro. Maybe your provider sells something similar???

Find out what the make and model of the modem is.
There is devices that can be used to enhance signal strength, but only to a certain point.
At 40-50 meters, signal strength is normally poor over a distance like that, if its a wireless a/b/g connection.
