I was 22 when I lost the oul virginity. I think girls tend to more 'wait for the right guy'. Dont realy know if its d right thing 2 do tho. The more u wait, the higher ur standards get, waiting for this perfect guy, what if he never comes? I was hapy I was with a guy that I realy trusted tho.

That generally isn't a problem for most guys their first time.

Just to say, im actually a super flirty person, and would have been known in college for being a guys girl and being very confident and flirty with guys. Yet there is a huge difference with what comes across to people and who you actually are. I was well able to talk to guys but I was very sexually naive and quite frightened of sex I guess. I don't think I did more than kiss a lad til I was 20. I remember telling the girls at college I was a virgin and they wudnt believe me! But u never know what people are really like..

I have 4-5 friends who are virgins (ages 20-22). It doesn't make a difference really. Most of them are girls who aren't necessarily waiting for the "right" guy but just a guy who they would feel comfortable enough with.

I think it's a bigger deal for girls, most of us feel like we need a connection with somebody before losing our virginity, but from my experience it's not the same with guys (just in my group of friends anyway).

I usually don't probe but the majority of them are not virgins when I asked and they all had/have boyfriends when loosing it. Only very few of them are virgins at the moment. We are all in our 20's so its a fact but the majority of them waited until late teens to early 20's. No harm waiting!

This is an interesting concept. I'm of the same opinion as you, although I'd go further and say that, whether it's with someone of the opposite sex or not, ones first experience of "sexual pleasure, voluntarily and completely experienced", is your loss of virginity. Yes, that's a very Catholic quote, but look at secular research on the definition of 'virginity'.
