    He has a letter in this weeks Advertiser objecting to the development of Galway Harbour, Jez but am so sick of this guy and An Taisce the quicker they are wound up the better.

    According to the Advertiser that's an anti-Connolly plot to scare people into to not voting for her out of the fear of having Hambleton on the council.

    Goes to show how much of a bogeyman An Taisce are in Galway :D Connolly has no say in the co option if she wins a Dail seat, the co option will be carried out by Labour/FG/FF who have seats. If she were a member of a party then the party could co opt if they had another member on the council to move the motion.
    There was intense speculation that An Taisce’s Derrick Hambleton would take over Cllr Connolly’s seat, should she win after Friday. However sources close to Cllr Connolly have rubbished the notion.

    “Nobody has been lined up as a replacement and that is something we would only decide after the election if Catherine is elected,” said a source. “The decisions will be made a group decision of Catherine, her campaign team, and main allies.”

    I even gave King vote!
