I know the shop in Midleton does, but for some reason I thought the others didn't. But someone told me they do. Just wondering does anyone know? :)

As far as I can recall they do not sell pets in their Tallaght branch.

I was in the Tallaght branch yesterday and saw a puppy in there in an enclosure, not sure if he was for sale, poor thing was only about a month old and se.emed really confused

Midelton and Finglas are the only ones that do because they're the biggest stores, none of the others do. I know staff members do occasionally bring their own pets in with them for socialisation; woman in my current local one brings in her persian to get it used to people cos she's hoping to show him.

I'm also a regular visitor in the Tallaght store and I have seen the staff's dogs on the floor. Pets are welcome in the shop but not sold there.

Yeah I love that shop. They have big cages (compared to other shops anyway) and they're cleaned out everyday, and have the right food and everything. And the rabbits all ran up to me and licked my hand, as opposed to rabbits in most shops that huddle terrified in the corner of the cage! And the guinea pigs and other animals actually had houses to hide in, which i think is important. :)

The one in Longford doesn't sell animals either. I'll be interested to see if the new shops they open sell animals too.

I thought I remember seeing rabbits and guinea pigs for sale in Ballincollig before but they didnt sell them for a long time now.

I was in the Tallaght one on Sunday and they weren't selling any pets. There was a bird in a cage, but the staff seemed to be looking after it - it wasn't for sale.

No, he definitely wasn't for sale. As said, the staff in Tallaght bring their pets in, so I'd say the little guy was in the cage for his own protection and was well looked after.

I'd be surprised if he was only a month old, the guy who I think is the manager, or at least seems to be in charge on the floor, knows his stuff and wouldn't have such a young dog out in public where other dogs can come in and out.
