Anyone can explain if the 5x vip points on selected sets (ie hogwarth express etc) can be further discounted by using of vip discount code they have on offer at the moment €100 off for 100 points. I understand the 5x points is only for instore purchase. Does it then get 2x point as well?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,788 ✭✭✭g0g

100 point is for online only then you'd get double points on what you pay

5X points on those sets is In-Store only instead of voucher or double points

    (as I read it)

So basically you can get a rollercoaster at full price but with €100 worth of vip points to redeem with next purchase. Either way the lego casino wins 😂

Or get it for €320 with discount and €40 off with vouchers for next purchase. This mathematical trickery is killing me so early in the morning…

Chiron is €260 in Argos and a few in stock. Decent enough price

I've got a reservation code for this in argos Tallaght if anybody needs it. Will be held until 28th November. I picked one up in liffey Valley instead.

Missed out on getting it at VIP weekend but elder child wants a reasonably expensive set for Christmas. Will there be any offers this weekend on lego.com? Smyths don't stock this one.

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

Well there is a few GWP purchases but 170 elves ice skating spend to get one then 200 for i think lego storage bag then 250 for 90th lego set like the minature set version of 5 lego sets. I would check just after midnight just to make sure. Might have some sets on sale but might be cheaper for sets on amazon or argos, smyths on black Friday.

Will there be any price drops on Lego over the weekend or have sales started already? Want to pick up two decent size kits from Lego and Smyth's and wondering whether to just buy or wait

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,011 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

I would hold off just incase until Friday. Definitely on lego site said some sets wil be reduced but you might need to be looking at them after midnight as they could sell quickly. Smyths I'm not sure as they have a lot reduced that might be it but I am holding off just on the off chance more are reduced same with amazon and argos. I'm sure they will have sets reduced on the day.

Will hold of till weekend just in case. Dr Strange set on Amazon im looking at is about 30euro cheaper than Smyths but am always reluctant to order Lego from Amazon as presents. Last few time boxes have came in bits and I ended up not being able to use as presents. Used them myself but after complaining to Amazon they gave me a fairly decent extra discount but its still a pain.

Yeah I know what you mean I have ordered a few sets and boxes do be squashed but I reckon if you are ordering the big sanctum marvel set I would think it would be a lot better packaged but hold off until tomorrow anyhow for sure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,011 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

Just ordered this now. Says 1 to 2 mths to get it but I have ordered like the before and comes faster then that. Says from the 21st December to 10th January so its a risk if you want to get it for Xmas but getting this for me so no problem when it comes. When you hit the discount voucher comes to 14.49 pounds. I don't think you would get this set cheaper then this ever.

On lego site. There is a limit of 5 tho.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,011 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

Argos have a good few sets reduced. Here are 2 of them more on their site.

Had to wait a few minutes after midnight to get in, but I got 21333 Starry Night for 170, elves GWP and a fiver off for 1/3 of the usual VIP points. Happy enough with that.

Only place I could find it elsewhere was brickshop.eu in the Netherlands but it was 179.99, no points or GWP obviously, I didn't go to checkout but delivery would surely have been quite a chunk too.

I was wondering if they'd take the GWP away as the fiver off took it under the 170 euro mark, but no. VIP points are just another method of payment I suppose.
