Poor from Gattuso. Hope he gets in trouble for it. Notice the respect label below his captains armband, obviously doesn't extend to oaps :)

playing three holding midfielders at home is pathetic, mancini does it as well with man city, gattuso, silva & flamini didnt do much defensively & definitely done nothing going forward, this "trappatoni" style defending of dropping back deep and putting no pressure on the man in possession is another outdated tactic

Like he did in the biggest league match in World football last year against Real Madrid or against Arsenal at this stage last year or was it when he played against Inter this season? Are you in the Mark Lawrenson club of its only a big game if its against an English team? Questions, Questions, Questions. Followed by stupid, stupid answers.

I didn't say in every match, but more often than not he does choke on these occassions.

On the Flamini issue people can say what they like and call it what they like, the Ref saw it and dealt with it during the game (rightly or wrongly) and that decision will not be changed, simple as.

Just saw this as I was doing a bit of reading about Joe Jordan in his earlier years.

I doubt this will last too long but check it out while it does.

    LOL :D

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Jordan_%28footballer%29#Death

    Death

Will be stabbed in the face by Gattuso in two weeks time and there is nothing Peter Richards can do about it.

    EDIT: Gone already!

Well done to Spurs, perfect European peformance away from home.

Just for the record, Joe Jordan would eat Gattuso for breakfast. Gattuso's another one of these modern ''hard men'' that the likes of Jordan would cripple.

Joe Jordan would eat Gattuso for breakfast ? Is that why he hid behind others when mouthing off to Gattuso

Spurs were better over the 90 minutes but not when they scored. Lennon had a great game and Gomes came up big when he needed to. As has been said by many, they are just a world class striker away from being contenders for everything.

Gattuso deserves a nice ban for his actions on the night. Flamini should have been sent off for that horrendous tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Dustaz

I never thought I'd be glad to see Spurs score in europe but they deserved that and i was delighted to see gattuso on the losing side after his antics. Should have been sent off 3 times, and flamini also.

Reading people somehow defending or excusing them reminds why i dont read this cesspit of a forum anymore.

Lads I know Joe Jordan was a tough man, but that was years ago, he is now older and up against a young(er) stocky athlethe in Gattuso he wouldn't have done much TBH.

If the two were let at it on their own, I'd be backing Jordan before Gattuso. Reminds me of a proper old school fúcker.

As someone on twitter said, Gattuso just imitates a tough guy - he'd be broken in two by a proper hard man.

Joe Jordan is 60 mate, he'd get his ass handed to him by an aggressive athlete still in professional footballing shape. Maybe back in the day it would have been very different, but now it's essentially a disgruntled old man against a very angry professional athlete. I knew where my money would be. :p

Special mention for Sandro, Gomes and Lennon. Great display, really like the look of Sandro. Can't help but like Spurs this year, specially against the likes of that.

All this Gattuso/Jordan talk is distracting from what was a tremendous performance and result from Spurs. We played really well in the first half, and worked hard all night. Sandro was quality in his CL debut, and Gomes pulled out a couple of top-drawer saves when needed. Harry Redknapp deserves plenty credit for picking the right team and sending them out with the belief that they could win the game.

I thought 2010 was good, 2011 is shaping up to be even better. COYS :D

True, but an Arsenal team who could put out a Barca team will be just as dangerous.

Either Gatusso is picking on someone who will kill him and is a complete idiot and a scumbag, or he is picking on an old man near twice his age and is a cowardly scumbag

yes, you are probably right, his parents must be very proud of their son attacking an old(ish) man in public. And i'm sure he will look back with pride at this incident when his playing days are over.
