Hi. I got a 3.04 out of 15 credits and only just got a grade back by email that was a d+ but was only worth 5 credits. I suck at maths - can anyone tell me what gpa that goes down to or how to work it out. Thanks.

A D+ is a 2.4

Say you did four modules (5 credits each). Getting an average of 3.04 on the first three is the same as getting 3.04 on each one. Now we include the new grade and get the new average.

(3.04 + 3.04 + 3.04 + 2.4) / 4 = 2.88
