Anybody any good at letters of complaint?

I want to send one to our management company. Basically the lift hasn't been working for 2 weeks and they are refusing to repair it as they are still waiting on money to come in. We have paid our management fee in full, however we could be left without a lift for weeks!!

Also when we try to buzz people into the apartment it doesn't work and we have to go down and let them in.

    Any help would be appreciated

I'd fire off a letter immediately, before the problem escalates.

    Dear Sir/madam.

Please fix our lift or we will be forced to have you torn limb from limb by a pack or rabid squirrels.

    Kind regards,

    Kitten.

Whatever you write just make sure it's in comic sans. Then they'll know you mean business.

Its not a moving stair case.

Its a lift which means we need to take it to the next level

Get a wheelchair. Sit in wheelchair. Call the management company while at the base of the stairs saying you are unable to access your apartment using your wheelchair.

Get them to carry you up. Repeat this day by day until the lift is working. Then when they show you the lift is working again stand up and walk into it.

Hey OP, you may have guessed that After Hours isn't really the place for advice.

So, I'm going to go against the grain and just give you this link.

But sure just think of all the exercise you're getting! Either that or mock up some pulley device up to your apartment for your shopping\friends.

Might get the lift fixed quicker if they think they'll get the ride though!

i live in an apartment and its the same kinda thing, we've paid but no one else has, and the coffers are empty. If I were you I would send them a letter explaining that you had been in touch with a health and safety office or the health board etc. you could always lie and tell them you were carrying your child and the shopping up the stairs and fell and broke your arm, expect a letter from your solicitor. they can with hold service but why not just clamp the tennants cars etc??? who havnt paid, so consequently have no right to parking space, refuse collection, etc etc etc. The elevator is essential and in case of an accident could be required by ambulance staff!!!! they get scared when you use these sort of scenarios!!! I know its dramatic but I would!!

its funny, these are the small issues concerning management companies, that your local canvassing TD should be made aware of!!! especially now!! call up his office and promise a building full of YES votes if he puts his oar in!!! make them work for you. then on voting day, **** him in the ass cos believe me, he'll do it to you eventually!!! ****'em two times I tells ya, soprano style!!!

    Spread
    1. hog-grease all over the stairs
    2. your legs
    3. the news that you're giving it away for free to men with clipboards and high-vis jackets
    4. the video of them breaking their limbs trying to get up the steps, on youtube

They'll be forced to fix the lift to avail of your kind offer.

Aw. Well you can. Just don't expect any relevant replies straight away. To be honest I'm at a loss as to what other forum you could ask this in!

    You people,
You're all going to die. I don't even care if you fix the lifts now.
You're all going to die still. Slowly, painfully. I'm going to kill you
    all.
    kthxbye
