Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying a step up filter in Dublin?

    I'm looking for a cheap 49mm to 52mm step up filter. They can be had on ebay for a few pounds, but shipping can take several weeks.

    Does anyone know a place in Dublin to get one for a reasonable price?
    I remember seeing Cokin models for 15€ in one shop off Grafton street, which is a shocking price.

    Gunns, Berminghams or Conns should be able to supply them. Expect to pay €5 - €7. Barker Photographic in Cork also stock them.
    Ps, Be careful to always specify the thread on the lens as the first figure and the thread on the accessory to be fitted to the lens as the second figure.
    So the one you have mentioned would be to fit 52mm filter onto a lens with a 49mm thread.

    Cheers, I'll probably just give each place a quick call tomorrow to check prices.
    5-7€ would be grand, better than 3€ and a 4 week wait.

    Gunn's didn't have the size I originally wanted in stock, but I picked up a 67-72mm one there for 5.50€.
    Pretty reasonable.
