Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Had one, couldnt really fault it. They are a purely casual type watch though. IMH they look daft in any sort of formal wear inlucding a work suit. I'm not keen on the look of the analogue ones and digital has lost it's appeal at the moment. If I was looking for a beater, I'd either go for one of the trasers or an issued marathon navigator(have this one). best lume dials you can get for legibility and around the 150 quid mark.

I've had a few, great watches for their price. But watch the straps, I've recently had to return a couple of dodgy ones where the strap kept falling off.
    Tri.

I'm with Triangle on the strap front. They're apparently well known for this weakness. I had the same issue with the one G shock I owned. So I just did what I usually do and stuck a NATO strap on it. Sorted.

Have had this one 2 years now. Excellent for the gym and synchronising other watches too.

I belive the ref is gw-5600 and i paid €115 for it in Argos.

Have two. Bought my second one a couple of years ago, dispite nothing being wrong with the first, just fancied something a little more techy/gadety.

First one still works, battery never replaced, just looks a little aged and worn.

    I have this one: GX56-1A. It's massive- 55.5mm x 53.6mm x 17.5mm, it's nice and light though (88g) and perfect as a beater watch.

I'm currently looking for a "beater" watch as you all seem to call them :)
I can't buy a nice watch due to the work I do as they get beaten to pieces.
Just killed my current watch...a run of the mill accurist with the magnetic drives on a machine I was installing I'm probably one of the handful of people who could actually use anti-magnetise in a watch but its not 100% necessary.

So I'm looking at gshocks, I know the straps are supposed to be bad but that doesn't bother me.
Need help picking one of these :o

Was happy with my purchase until I went out with a friend from work last night who just arrived back from Barcelona and he shows me his new watch that he bought on a whim while there...

Its a Glashutte Original Panoinverse XL stainless steel, it is amazing beautiful in the metal. See this is why you shouldn't get married and have kids ;)

    I feel for you!

On the other hand, ask your friend if he can bounce his watch on the ground and still wear it like nothing has happened, and then maybe you can feel better.

And here's mine, not a G-Shock, but very close to it in terms of toughness:

Purchased this from Seiya the other day

Impressed with his service so far, 12 hours and 10 mins after I placed the order I had a tracking number sent to me, that's outstanding.

Will get some proper pics when it arrives.

Do you know how accurate the tidal display is? or can it be adjusted to any locality.

I love the automatic illumination feature - super watch!!!

I don't know how accurate the tidal wave is, I just adjusted it to London. It has the regular time zones, so Dublin is not an option.

I don't know what I was thinking when I tried to sell it, won't happen again! ;)
