Luiz looks the real deal already. Poor first half from us though.

Last thing Torres needs is to be taken off. Horribly short of confidence. Very impressed with Luiz. Looks some player.

    not possible.

he scored 2 in his last game before he left Liverpool.

    then got bought for £50m.

if that doesn't make you confident, well i don't know.

it's not confidence, he's just not settled in the team i would say.

    he'll come good.

i agree that he shouldn't be taken off too early though.

the one thing Torres needs is time on the pitch to get into the swing of things; trust me.
    :D

I'd say he will score tonight, hope he doesn't get taken off on the 60mins mark.

I think he went for Anelka, as Anelka is more likely to play a support act, where Drogba would just go for the same balls as Torres.

    Blow it up now ref

Bar the two ocassions when he overran the ball, Luiz looks good.

I almos feel guilty for laughing at Torres so much in that half and the Fulham fans aren't helping, I shouldn't take pleasure in the misfortunes of others, still..... :D

    That said, he'll probably score.....

Ivanovic pulling was inside the box.....Chelsea lucky not to have given away a penalty.
The ref might have bottled it and not given it if he knew it was inside the box.Long may torres' awfulness continue.COYW

+1 he has a similar shaped head to Andy Gray and all.
Torres was never worth 50 million, hes had a stinker.

You've gotta love the hypocrisy of sacking Gray for sexist comments and replacing him tonight with a man who spouted some quasi-religious nonsense about disabled people being sinners in past lives.

Done the hard bit well and then made a mess if the shot. He will come good once he feels a Chelsea player

we need to quit taking shots from way outside the box.

    Essien's passing is awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Hearing that Torres song in a cockney accent is horrible.

I'd love to start laughing at his ineffectiveness, but the bloke is one of the greatest strikers in the world. He'll come good. Maybe even before tonight's over, so why bother?

I realise now he's not the messiah, he's just a very naughty boy!!

You might want to give him more than 120 mins of football before callin him a waste.

Remember the moment you typed that, and don't forget it when he scores the winning goal against you lot at Anfield at the Kop end. Also don't forget when he celebrates wildly with Terry, Drogba and Lampard.

He won't be scoring that winning goal this season. Beat them 2 from 2.

In the words of many a pool supporter " maybe next year " ;)
