Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

anyone know how to stop this irus, the name of it is 'VBS:ExeDropper-gen'.

ok, so im sitting watching the football game on a online stream. next thing the free avast anti virus message pops up to tell me a trojan horse has been blocked and put in the virus chest. the message pops up and stays there because there are so many coming into the laptop and being blocked, it comes up about 50 messages and then stops. comes back up again 50 viruses blocked again and again.

my night has been ruined, and instead of watching the football im left trying to stop my laptop being screwed by trojan horses. there are some screen shots, it keeps flooding into my laptop and being put in the virus chest how can i stop it?

here is the message thats popping up

    Try those 2.

Nasty little virus you have there. I remember reading about that before Christmas. It can be used to drop other viruses onto you laptop.

I'd say a clean install of your laptop.
If you have to keep any files make sure they are not .exe or .html

Make sure you update your AntiVirus before scanning. You should try MS essentials.

Download and burn the BitDefender image file here and boot from it.

ok it keep getting restored by your system restore (a royal pain in the ass of a windows feature)

to get rid of the virus properly

1st. schedule a boot time virus scan

2nd. disable system restore on all drives and then reboot

3rd. once virus is removed allow windows to boot as normal.

4th once windows sucessfully boots u can re-enable system restore.
